In 2024, Monash University Malaysia invited Dato’ Lat to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion through art during Equity, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) Week. Quoting his words of wisdom as a man who has lived and witnessed the strength of unity in a multicultural society: “We didn’t need guidance or direction to be inclusive; it just happened naturally,” and “That spirit of sharing — whether it was books, music, records, or comics—was something we grew up with. It was just how we lived our lives.”
Today, Dato’ Lat has come together again with Monash University Malaysia, who shares the same vision for a diverse and harmonious campus life throughout the students’ education journey.
